We are a family owned and run business, with our primary site situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines. Since our humble beginnings in 1766, when the Hinchliffe family started to trade, we have grown and expanded into the globally respected company that we are today.

We now have 5 sites within the UK and a sales office in Italy to meet the increasing demands for our quality yarns. We pride ourselves in being an important supplier of lambswool, cashmere, camel hair and angora products; both to the UK and worldwide knitwear industries. We strive to always use the latest technological developments and continually invest in the latest state of the art machinery to maintain and improve the Hinchliffe quality for which we are renowned.
